Reading is an important part of education. I love to read and hope to teach that love of reading to my students. I have always found that the image below to be very powerful. It is very important to encourage students to read every night.
There are a variety of different ways that students can explore reading while they are not at school. Reading to a parent, sibling, or even stuffed animal can help students to work on their reading fluency. Asking your child questions while they are reading will engage them in the text and help them to develop higher level thinking skills.
